Apex Consulting are proud to announce that they have been awarded The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) accreditation to premium plus level.
The accreditation was received after Apex Consulting were able to demonstrate the successful implementation of key health and safety areas within the business, including:
• Health and safety policy statement
• An organisation for health and safety
• Specific health and safety arrangements
• Key areas of focus such as training, competencies and construction experience.
As well as showing that they are fully compliant with CHAS’s high standards for health and safety, the company were also verified against an additional six modules of PAS 91 to gain the premium plus status. This included environmental, quality management, equal opportunities and diversity, financial and business standing, anti-bribery and corruption and modern slavery.

CHAS was created by experienced health and safety professionals in 1997 to improve health and safety standards across the UK. In partnership with the Association of London Government (ALG), CHAS was a key developer of the core criteria held in the Approved Code of Practice which supported the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (now recognised as CDM 2015) and is a founder member of SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement).
